Lignano SUP Marathon 2018
23 chilometri di Stand Up Paddle (pagaiarie in piedi sulla tavola, con mezzi remieri ed altri a pagaia) per circumnavigare Lignano Sabbiadoro (UD) tra affascinanti scenari di mare, laguna, canali, fiume, si è svolta domenica 6 maggio in concomitanza con l’inagurazione della stagione balneare e della Festa dello Sport.
Riconosciuta come la regata più affascinate d’Italia con panorami mozzafiato ha visto la partecipaziione di ben 106 corraggiosi sportivi provenienti da tutta Italia, da Croazia, Slovenia, Austria, Germania, Ucraina durante in una cornice soleggiata e festosa.
Partenza dalla spiaggia di Sabbiadoro, navigazione nella Laguna di Marano e Grado, attraversamento dei canali e delle chiuse, sbocco nella foce del fiume Tagliamento e ritorno in mare per costeggiare l’arenile e raggiungere l’arrivo sempre in spiaggia.
Macchina organizzativa complessa messa a punto egregiamente dal locale gruppo sportivo Tiliaventum supportato dai numerosi sodalizi e partner locali con festeggiamenti e premiazioni nell’accogliente location di Lignano Sabbiadoro Gestioni.
Dopo la concitata partenza il gruppo degli atleti di punta ha creato un significativo distacco che si è mantenuto sino alla fine della dura pagaiata ed ha visto primeggiare l’atleta del Ranking nazionale Italian Sup League Giordano Bruno Capparella in 2 ore 24′ e 37″, seguito da Francesco Mazzei e Leonardo Toso, tra le donne Caterina Stenta seguita da Romina Mariotto e Mari Valentina Ciaburre.
Tra le tavole 12’6 ottimo primo posto per il croato Zelijko Sdroc seguito da Guglielmo Reggio e Cristian Bottausci.
Presenti anche team a staffetta tra cui gli sloveni Matjaz-Triller, Team Line, MPH Trieste, Kite Life Grado, I Sopravvissuti, La Sciolta SSD, BreakNoStop, Not Fast Just Furious, Crivellari-Pavan-Destrini-Destrini, Spirit Of Lignano, Le Nutrie, Bobe, Nabagigi.
Nel gruppo Canoe-Kajak Mulloni, Massarutto e Sedran l’hanno fatta da padrona neei singoli, oltre ai team Palmin-Verzegnassi e Castorini.
Significativa anche la presenza del 4 con del Circolo Canottieri Lignano guidato dal Presidente Alessandro Lorenzon.
Una festa del mare e dello sport che si è protratta nel pomeriggio con le premiazioni alla presenza del Sindaco Luca Fanotto, del Vice e Assessore allo Sport Alessandro Marosa e del neo Consigliere regionale Maddalena Spagnolo

LIGNANO SUP MARATHON – LIGNANO SABBIADORO (UD) – ITALY
23km of Stand Up Paddle (boarders stand on their boards and use a paddle to propel themselves through the water) for circumnavigation of Lignano Sabbiadoro (UD), among fascinating sea scenarios, lagoon, channels, river, has taken place on the 6th of May concurrently with the inauguration of the bathing season and the “Festa dello Sport” (Sporting festival). Recognized as the most fascinating race in Italy, with a stunning panorama, it involved 106 courageous athletes from Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, Germany and Ukraine in a sunny and festive frame.
Starting from the Sabbiadoro beach, racers navigatied through the lagoon of Marano and Grado, crossed of channels, the Tagliamento river and then they returned to the sea, following the shoreline up to the finish point on the beach. A complex organizational structure was developed thanks to the sport team Tiliaventum, supported by numerous sea sport clubs and local partners, with celebrations and awards in the comfortable location of Lignano Sabbiadoro Gestioni.
After the excited start, top athletes made a big gap which has been maintained until the end of the arduous paddling. The competition saw the athlete of Ranking national ISL Giordano Bruno Capparella (in 2h 24’ 37”) override all others, followed by Francesco Mazzei and Leonardo Toso, while among women there were Caterina Stenta, followed by Romina Mariotto and Mari Valentina Ciaburre.
On the 12’6 board, an excellent result for the Croatian Zeljko Sdroc, followed by Guglielmo Reggio and Cristian Bottausci.
Team racer join the competition, such as the Slovenian Matjaz-Triller, Team Line, MPH Trieste, Kite Life Grado, I sopravvissuti, La Sciolta SSD, BreakNoStop, Not Fast Just Furious, Crivellari-Pavan-Destrini, Spirit of Lignano, Le Nutrie, Bobe, Nabagigi.
Within the group Canoe-Kayak, Massarutto and Sedran have won as single participants, while Palmin-Verzegnassi and Castroni as team racers.
Significant was also the participation of the Coxed four of the Circolo Canottieri Lignano propelled by its president, Alessandro Lorenzon.
A festival of the sea and of the sport which is being prolonged in the afternoon with the awards and the presence of the mayor of Lignano Sabbiadoro Luca Fanotto, the Vice and the Sport Assessor Alessandro Marosa, and the new Regional councillor Maddalena Spagnolo
